What’s all the fuss about? Print E-mail
We wrote a short article, giving a flavour of our book, for the 2006 Oak Hill College yearbook. It also appeared in the March 2007 edition of Evangelicals Now, and a few other places. This would be a good place to start if you want to get an overview of why penal substitution matters, what some critics have been saying about it, and why their objections don’t stand up.

R. C. Moberly on the atonement Print E-mail

R. C. Moberly’s account of the atonement, Atonement and Personality (London: John Murray, 1901), left no room for penal substition. Alistair Seabrook, one our friends at Oak Hill (and now a pastor in Cambridgeshire, England), wrote his Masters dissertation on the subject, and has kindly given us permission to post his devastating response here.
